Melanie Hamrick, fiancée of Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger, has revealed she was left “shaken” and “heartbroken” after being physically attacked outside a London club.
The Incident
Hamrick, 38, shared details of the frightening encounter in a now-deleted Instagram Stories post on February 10. She said she was grabbed from behind by two people outside Annabel’s, a private members’ club in Mayfair.
“This is incredibly hard to share, but I was physically attacked at Annabel’s Mayfair tonight,” she wrote. “I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me. Two people grabbed me from behind and thank god for good people who stepped in to help me.”
Hamrick added, “I’m shaken, sad and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way.”
Possible Motive
According to The Sun, the incident may have been an opportunistic mugging attempt outside the upscale venue. Neither Annabel’s nor the Metropolitan Police have issued a statement, and representatives for Jagger have not commented.
Relationship with Mick Jagger
Hamrick has been in a relationship with Jagger since 2014. The couple welcomed their son, Deveraux, in 2016, making him Jagger’s eighth child.
In April 2025, Hamrick confirmed long-standing engagement rumors in an interview with Paris Match, revealing that she and Jagger had been engaged for “two or three years.” Despite speculation about marriage, Hamrick said the couple is in no rush to wed.
“Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not,” she explained. “We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything. We try to support each other, be there for each other, and make sure everyone is happy. That’s all that matters to me and all I strive for.”
Jagger’s Past Relationships
Jagger, 82, was previously married to Bianca Jagger from 1971 to 1978. He has also had long-term relationships with Marianne Faithfull, Jerry Hall, and the late L’Wren Scott. Hamrick, a former ballerina and choreographer, has largely kept her relationship with Jagger private, occasionally sharing family moments on social media. The attack outside Annabel’s marks a rare and unsettling public incident for the couple. As of now, further details about the attack remain unclear, and it is not known whether police are investigating.
