OPPO has officially launched the Reno15 Pro Max outside China, with Taiwan becoming the first international market to receive the new Reno15 lineup. The release signals both a global rollout and a strategic shift in how OPPO positions its popular Reno series. The launch follows the debut of the Reno15 and Reno15 Pro in China in November 2025, but introduces a new “Pro Max” branding that replaces the older “Pro+” naming used in previous generations.

OPPO Reno15 Series: Naming Strategy Explained

With the Reno15 Pro Max, OPPO is aligning its mid-premium lineup with broader industry trends. The addition of a Pro Max variant allows the company to clearly separate large-screen, feature-heavy models from more compact premium options. Instead of a single top-tier Reno device, OPPO now offers a structured lineup: Reno15, Reno15 Pro, and Reno15 Pro Max. This approach mirrors strategies used across the smartphone industry, where brands cater to both power users and those who prefer smaller form factors.

OPPO has also confirmed a Reno15 Pro Mini for India, though this model is not listed on the global website. Internationally, the lineup includes Reno15, Reno15 Pro, Reno15 Pro Max, and Reno15 F, indicating region-specific naming and positioning.

OPPO Reno15 Pro Max Price and Availability

In Taiwan, the Reno15 Pro Max is available in a single configuration with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It is priced at TWD 24,990, which converts to approximately Rs 71,000. The phone comes in Twilight Gold and Desert Brown color options. The Reno15 Pro is priced at TWD 20,990 (around Rs 60,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the standard Reno15 starts at TWD 17,990 (roughly Rs 51,000).

OPPO Reno15 Pro Max Specifications

The Reno15 Pro Max features a 6.78-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, targeting users who prefer larger screens for media and gaming. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset and pairs it with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Camera hardware is a major highlight, led by a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, supported by a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP front-facing camera. The device packs a 6,500mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, placing it among the more battery-focused phones in its segment.

Reno15 Pro and Reno15: Key Differences

The Reno15 Pro shares the same chipset and camera setup as the Pro Max but features a smaller 6.32-inch AMOLED display and a 6,200mAh battery. Its compact design targets users who want flagship features in a smaller body. The standard Reno15 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and includes a 6.59-inch AMOLED 120Hz display. While it retains a periscope telephoto camera, it uses a different main sensor and chipset than the Pro models.

Software, Connectivity, and Competition

All Reno15 models run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, carry an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, and support Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, and satellite navigation. The Reno15 series targets competitors from Vivo, Realme, and Redmi, focusing on camera hardware, battery capacity, and premium design rather than raw performance. With the Reno15 Pro Max, OPPO is clearly strengthening its presence in the upper mid-range segment, offering a feature-rich option for users who want a large display, advanced cameras, and wireless charging.
