Netflix has released the first official trailer for Run Away, the latest gripping drama based on a novel by global thriller phenomenon Harlan Coben. Known for high-tension mysteries like Fool Me Once and Missing You, Coben returns with another emotional, fast-paced story that centers on family, secrets, and the desperate lengths a parent will go to protect their child.
A Father’s Desperate Mission
James Nesbitt stars as Simon, a father whose world falls apart when his eldest daughter Paige disappears without explanation. The trailer reveals Simon locating her days later in a city park—vulnerable, terrified, and battling drug addiction. Believing he finally has the chance to bring her home, he is met with a dangerous confrontation.
Paige is not alone, and when the argument spirals into sudden violence, Simon loses her again—this time to a criminal underworld far darker than he imagined. His search sparks a tense chain of events that threatens to destroy everything he once knew about his family.

Netflix Expands the Harlan Coben Universe
Run Away follows several high-performing titles based on Coben’s novels, including Fool Me Once, which became Netflix’s most-watched series of 2024, and Missing You, released earlier this year. Coben also developed Lazarus for Prime Video and is currently working on an American adaptation of I Will Find You, starring Sam Worthington.
The new series promises emotional pressure, mystery, and dangerous twists—hallmarks of Coben’s storytelling that have captivated global audiences.
Netflix has not yet confirmed an exact release date, but Run Away is expected to be one of the platform’s most anticipated thriller launches of 2026.
