Samsung has officially begun rolling out its One UI 8 update to several budget-friendly Galaxy A-series smartphones. The update now covers the Galaxy A24, A17 LTE, A16 LTE, and A15 LTE, following earlier releases for their 5G counterparts.
First-Time Update for Galaxy A24
According to reports from SamMobile, this marks the first time the Galaxy A24 is receiving the new software. The rollout is currently live in South Korea and will expand to other regions in the coming days.
Firmware Versions
Each device is receiving a specific firmware build:
- Galaxy A24 – A245NKSU7EYK1
- Galaxy A17 LTE – A175NKSU1BYK2
- Galaxy A16 LTE – A165NKSU3CYK1
- Galaxy A15 LTE – A155NKSU6CYK1
The phased rollout means it may take several days before all eligible devices receive the update.
Catching Up With 5G Models
The LTE variants are now aligned with their 5G counterparts, which received the One UI 8 update back in early October. For LTE users, this marks a significant step forward in accessing Samsung’s latest software features and security enhancements.
How to Update
To install the update, users should:
- Go to Settings
- Select Software update
- Tap Download and install
Samsung recommends connecting to Wi-Fi and backing up data before proceeding, as a precaution for any major software upgrade.
Expanding Samsung’s Ecosystem
The rollout highlights Samsung’s commitment to keeping even its budget devices updated. By expanding One UI 8 to millions of Galaxy A-series users worldwide, Samsung ensures a more consistent and secure experience across its ecosystem.
