The winner of NBC’s The Voice Season 28 has officially been announced, closing out a high-energy finale filled with live performances, emotional moments, and fierce competition. After weeks of audience voting and mentor guidance, Aiden Ross from Team Niall emerged as the champion, securing the season’s top prize.

The finale aired on Tuesday night, featuring performances from the show’s coaches and a lineup of well-known guest artists. While coach Niall Horan did not perform due to vocal health reasons, his team remained in the spotlight, joined by Reba McEntire during the live show.

A Star-Studded Finale Night

The Season 28 finale delivered a concert-like atmosphere. In addition to performances by the finalists and coaches, the episode featured guest appearances from Zac Brown, Noah Cyrus, Khalid, Riley Green, and other prominent artists.

The finale followed a two-night format, with the winner revealed after all votes from viewers across the United States were counted.

How the Finalists Competed

Ahead of the final results, six contestants advanced to the last round. Each finalist performed two songs during the voting phase:

  • One contemporary track

  • One classic song

This format allowed viewers to evaluate both modern appeal and timeless vocal ability.

Aiden Ross delivered standout performances with “Golden Hour” by JVKE in the contemporary round and “The Winner Takes It All” by ABBA for the classic selection. His performances resonated strongly with voters, ultimately earning him the highest number of public votes.

Winner and Final Rankings

With voting complete, the final results were announced as follows:

  • Winner: Aiden Ross (Team Niall)

  • Second Place: Ralph Edwards (Team Snoop)

  • Third Place: DEK of Hearts (Team Niall)

  • Fourth Place: Aubrey Nicole (Team Reba)

  • Fifth Place: Max Chambers (Team Bublé)

  • Sixth Place: Jazz McKenzie (Team Bublé)

As the season’s winner, Ross received a $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract with Universal Music Group, a major milestone for any emerging artist.

Emotional Messages From Coach and Contestant

Although he did not sing during the finale, Niall Horan addressed Ross with words of encouragement before the winner was announced.

“You’re a really down-to-earth, lovely guy who’s gifted,” Horan said. “I wish you the best.”

Ross also previously expressed gratitude to his coach, crediting Horan with helping shape his artistic confidence.

“The most important thing he’s taught me is to love what I’m doing and be glad that I’m doing it,” Ross said in an earlier episode.
