Warzone Season 1 has officially arrived, bringing a massive set of updates to the battle royale title. The patch integrates Black Ops 7 weapons, equipment, and Operators into Warzone, introduces the brand-new Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map, and continues the developers’ effort to refine aim assist balancing between controller and mouse-and-keyboard players. The update also features gameplay refinements, new modes, equipment reworks, and a long list of weapon tuning notes.
With that in mind, here is a breakdown of the biggest changes in the Warzone Season 1 update.
Haven’s Hollow: New Resurgence Map Arrives
Season 1 introduces Haven’s Hollow, a fresh Resurgence map designed for fast-paced combat. Inspired by late-summer Appalachia, the map mixes small-town Americana with a high-tech research environment. It is slightly larger than** Rebirth Island**, but keeps the intense pacing and constant engagements Resurgence fans expect.
The battleground includes several major Points of Interest such as Coal Depot, Lumbermill, Main Street, Riverboat, Mansion, Research Center, and a redesigned Barn POI featuring improved verticality and new traversal routes. The map also contains Easter eggs, hidden loot, and redesigned areas inspired by Zombies modes.
Verdansk Expands With New POIs
The update brings changes to Verdansk, including:
Signal Station – A new radar facility near Military Base where players can complete a task to unlock a Tactical Heat Map.
Factory Remastered – A modernized version of the fan-favorite Factory ‘84, now featuring active missile production and new hazards.
Aim Assist Tuning Continues
The developers continue to refine input balancing, adjusting aim assist strength at short and long range, and tightening activation conditions to better match controller vs. KBM engagements — an important topic among competitive players.

Base sprint speeds increased
Tactical Sprint removed by default, now unlocked via the Sprinter Perk
Combat Roll added through the Mountaineer Perk
Experimental wall jump and grappling enabled in Limited-Time Modes

Weapons from BO7, MW2, MW3, and Black Ops 6 remain usable, with attachments and loadout structures revised:
Wildcards removed
5-attachment cap
Attachment behaviors rebalanced
Weapon-sharing codes added
