Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi is officially a grandfather for the second time.
His son Jesse Bongiovi, 29, and daughter-in-law Jesse Light welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Blair Lucy Bongiovi, on Monday, November 10, 2025.
The couple shared the heartwarming news on Instagram, posting a photo of baby Blair wearing a striped beanie and clutching a finger, alongside the caption:
“Blair Lucy Bongiovi. Our sweet girl has arrived, and we couldn’t be happier. Welcome to the world, baby Blair bear.”
This marks a special milestone for the Bon Jovi family just months after the rocker’s younger son Jake Bongiovi and actress Millie Bobby Brown announced they had welcomed a daughter earlier this year.
A New Generation in the Bon Jovi Family
Jesse and Jesse Light’s baby girl marks Jon Bon Jovi’s second grandchild. The 63-year-old singer first revealed he was expecting another grandchild during a recent appearance on BBC’s The One Show.
“It’s a new chapter in life,” Bon Jovi said. “This next generation comes along, and suddenly I have a granddaughter — another one coming next week.”
The proud grandfather, who shares four children with his longtime wife Dorothea Bongiovi, also offered a piece of fatherly advice:
“Let them be them.”
Jesse and Light, who met in 2018 at the Surf Lodge in Montauk, New York, married in May 2024 in a romantic Las Vegas ceremony — at the same chapel where Jon and Dorothea eloped in 1989.
The Rocker’s Family Expands Again
Earlier this year, Jon Bon Jovi’s younger son Jake Bongiovi, 23, and his wife Millie Bobby Brown, 21, shared that they had adopted a baby girl in August 2025.
In their joint Instagram post, the couple wrote:
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.”
The couple’s quiet yet joyful announcement marked the singer’s first time becoming a grandfather. With baby Blair’s arrival, Bon Jovi’s growing family now includes two grandchildren under one year old.
“Papa” Bon Jovi’s Heartfelt Reflections
After Jake and Millie’s announcement, Bon Jovi revealed the affectionate grandparent name he has chosen: “Papa.”
In an interview with Today, the “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer shared his emotional reaction to meeting his first grandchild:
“Immediately, you fall in love. When we met Jake and Millie’s daughter, it was just immediate. You’re like, ‘That’s my granddaughter.’”
He added, jokingly,
“She won’t be able to walk for at least 10 or 12 years because Papa will be carrying her everywhere she goes.”
Interestingly, the name “Papa” also connects to Millie Bobby Brown’s role in Stranger Things, where her character Eleven calls her guardian by the same name — a coincidence fans have quickly noticed.
