Marc Anthony has broken his silence after unexpectedly finding himself caught in the middle of Brooklyn Beckham’s ongoing feud with his parents, Victoria and David Beckham.
The Wedding Incident
The controversy stems from Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to actress Nicola Peltz. During the reception, Anthony—who performed at the event—reportedly called Victoria Beckham to the stage. According to Page Six, he even introduced her as “the most beautiful woman in the room.” Brooklyn later claimed his mother “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola and danced “very inappropriately” with him, leaving him humiliated.
Anthony’s Response
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter on February 9, Anthony addressed the situation cautiously. “I have nothing to say about what’s happening with the family,” he said. “They’re a wonderful, wonderful family. I’ve known them since before the kids were born. I’m godfather to Cruz. I’m really close to the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there.”
He added that it was “extremely unfortunate how it’s playing out,” hinting that the public narrative may not reflect the full truth.
Brooklyn’s Claims
Brooklyn, 26, has been vocal about his strained relationship with his parents. In a recent Instagram post, he accused Victoria and David of trying to “ruin” his marriage to Nicola. He also stated he does “not want to reconcile” with them. Last week, reports surfaced that Brooklyn had undergone laser treatment to remove tattoos featuring the word “dad,” signaling further distance from his father.
Family Fallout
The Beckham family has yet to publicly respond to Brooklyn’s latest accusations. Meanwhile, Anthony’s comments highlight his desire to remain neutral despite his close ties to the family. As the feud continues to unfold, Anthony’s statement underscores the complexity of being drawn into a deeply personal dispute between one of the world’s most famous families.
