Pushpa 2: The Rule, one of the most awaited films of the year, faced a major hurdle despite its promising opening as it fell prey to piracy. Just hours after its debut screening, HD copies of the Allu Arjun-starrer appeared on various torrent platforms.
Reports suggest the sequel has been leaked on notorious sites such as Ibomma, Movierulz, Tamilrockers, Filmyzilla, TamilYogi, Tamilblaster, Bolly4u, Jaisha Moviez, 9xmovies, and Moviesda. These platforms have made the film accessible for streaming with minimal effort after registration.
Record-Breaking Advance Sales
Despite the piracy setback, Pushpa 2 has achieved remarkable success in advance bookings. According to BookMyShow, the film made history by surpassing 3 million tickets in advance sales globally—the highest ever recorded in India. Sacnilk reports that Pushpa 2 has sold approximately 32 lakh tickets in advance bookings within India alone.
Expectations and Box Office Projections
The film, featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is projected to earn between 250 crore and 300 crore globally on its opening day. Directed by Sukumar, the movie has been made with a massive budget of ₹400 crore. Originally shot in Telugu, Pushpa 2 has also been released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, catering to a broad audience base.
While the piracy issue remains a concern, the overwhelming advance booking figures indicate that Pushpa 2 is set to make a lasting mark on the box office.
