Jason Kelce has opened up about his admiration for Taylor Swift, praising her both as a family figure and as a savvy businesswoman. In a new interview with WSJ Magazine published on December 22, the retired NFL star reflected on his relationship with Swift, who is engaged to his brother Travis Kelce.
Family First
Kelce, 38, revealed that he enjoys watching Swift embrace her role as “aunt” to his four children — Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and 9‑month‑old Finnley. “I just enjoy her being my brother’s soon‑to‑be wife, and aunt to my kids,” he said. He emphasized that their bond is rooted in family rather than business, adding, “We try to leave that relationship where it should be, there.” Kelce’s wife Kylie has also shared glimpses of their family life with Swift, highlighting the singer’s warm connection with the children.
Inspired by Swift’s Business Acumen
While Kelce prefers to keep family and business separate, he admitted to being inspired by Swift’s career achievements. He praised her for reclaiming her music catalog and managing her global tours while continuing to release new albums.
“Watching her operate, watching her savviness in getting her entire music catalogue back, watching how she has toured the globe while also writing an entire new album — the level at which she takes control over a lot of different aspects, but also allowing people to be experts in their own right, I think that a lot of that stuff is fun to watch,” Kelce said.
Kelce himself has ventured into business with Hank Sauce, a New Jersey‑based hot sauce company, and noted that Swift’s example has influenced his own entrepreneurial mindset.
Wedding Antics Ahead?
Kelce also spoke candidly about what kind of guest he might be at Travis and Swift’s upcoming wedding. Known for his lively personality, he admitted to past antics at weddings, including taking his shirt off and even accidentally dropping a bridesmaid.
“Somehow I keep getting invited back to people’s weddings,” he joked. “I’m a good time, usually. But since being with Kylie, it’s been much more tame.”
Still, Kelce couldn’t promise that he would behave perfectly at his brother’s nuptials. “We’ll see if the shirt stays on or off,” he said with a laugh, noting that Kylie might not approve if he gets too wild.

Kelce recalled first meeting Swift at a Buffalo Bills game, where he famously jumped out of a suite. Since then, their relationship has grown, with Swift inviting him and his family to events.
