Metallica has confirmed an eight-show residency at the Las Vegas Sphere this October, marking one of the band’s most ambitious live projects to date. The residency, titled Life Burns Faster, will feature their signature No Repeat Weekends, ensuring fans hear unique setlists across consecutive shows.
Dates and Details
The residency will run on October 1 & 3, October 15 & 17, October 22 & 24, and October 29 & 31. Each Thursday and Saturday performance will feature completely different songs, giving fans a reason to attend multiple nights.
Tickets and Presales
Tickets go on sale March 6 at 10 a.m. PT, with presales beginning March 2 for Fan Club members. Ticketmaster, Live Nation, SiriusXM, and the Sphere will host additional presales throughout the week. Fans can register for presales directly on Metallica’s website.
Reinventing the Live Experience
The band — James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo — promises a setlist spanning their entire catalog, from classics like Master of Puppets to newer tracks from 72 Seasons. “Sphere’s technology will present an entirely new live experience for everyone in the house… including us!” the band said in their announcement.
A Legacy of Innovation
Formed in Los Angeles in 1981, Metallica has released 11 studio albums and remains one of the most influential heavy metal bands in history. Their 1986 album Master of Puppets is considered a genre-defining record, while their latest release, 72 Seasons (2023), fueled their ongoing M72 World Tour. With the Sphere’s cutting-edge visuals and immersive sound, Metallica’s residency promises to be unlike any concert experience fans have seen before.
