Singer Harry Styles has shared a surprising piece of advice he once received while training for marathons: he was told to “pee on” himself during a race to save time.
Marathon Training Confession
Speaking on Brittany Broski’s Royal Court series, the 32-year-old explained that fellow runners suggested he practice urinating while running to avoid bathroom breaks. Styles admitted he considered trying it but ultimately never needed to.
“You know what? I actually didn’t need to pee, really, either of them,” he said, recalling his successful runs in the Tokyo and Berlin marathons. He joked about the idea of going for a short run just to practice but decided against it.
A Lighthearted Take
Styles laughed off the unusual suggestion, saying, “I got to the end of the training and thought, ‘I don’t have any long runs left, and I don’t know that I can go run for like 10 minutes just to pee on myself.’ So I actually never practised peeing on myself.”
Beyond Running
While promoting his new album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, Styles also revealed he has recently adopted a new nighttime routine. He shared that he now washes his face regularly and uses an electric toothbrush, humorously comparing the switch to Bob Dylan’s transition from acoustic to electric guitar.
“I used to be acoustic. I was acoustic for a long time, and I’ve just gone electric—feel like Bob Dylan,” he quipped.
A Mix of Discipline and Humor
The revelation highlights Styles’ ability to balance serious athletic achievements with his trademark humor. Fans praised his candidness, noting that even in discussing marathon training, he managed to keep things lighthearted and relatable. With two marathons under his belt and a new album on the way, Harry Styles continues to surprise audiences—whether through music, fashion, or unexpected running advice.
