Will Deadpool 4 Include T.J. Miller? Here’s What He Said

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool with speculation about T.J. Miller’s return in Deadpool 4.

T.J. Miller, who played bartender Weasel in the first two Deadpool films, was absent from 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine. His departure followed legal controversies and reported tension with Ryan Reynolds. However, Miller recently hinted that he may not be done with the franchise.

During a radio interview in Detroit, Miller was asked if the chance to return had passed. He replied: “It has not sailed. And that’s all I’m going to say about that. Okay. Marvel gets so weird about this stuff. They’re just like, don’t talk about it.”

A Chat With Ryan Reynolds

Miller revealed that he has been in contact with Reynolds and even discussed ideas for a potential Deadpool 4. He praised Reynolds’ concept, saying it gave him “hair on the back of [his] neck standing up.” Miller described the idea as “really smart” and “different” from Deadpool & Wolverine.

This marks a notable shift from Miller’s earlier claims in 2022 and 2024 that Reynolds “hated” him and that he would not work with him again. Miller now says they’ve reconciled and considers Reynolds “a real friend.”

Past Controversies

Miller’s absence from Deadpool & Wolverine came after serious allegations. In 2017, he was accused of sexual assault, which he denied. In 2018, he was arrested for making a fake bomb threat on an Amtrak train, though charges were dismissed in 2021. These incidents raised questions about whether Marvel Studios would bring him back.

What’s Next for Deadpool

Marvel has not officially confirmed Deadpool 4, though reports suggest Reynolds is developing the project. Miller’s comments indicate there may be room for his return, but given his past controversies, the decision will ultimately rest with Marvel and Disney. For now, fans can stream the first three films on Disney+ while waiting to see if Weasel reappears alongside Wade Wilson in the next chapter.
