Kate Hudson had her family by her side at the 2026 Oscars, including her eldest son, Ryder Robinson. The actress, 46, attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 15, where she posed proudly with her 22-year-old son before heading inside. Hudson was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Song Sung Blue.
A Proud Son
Ryder, dressed in a sleek black suit and silk tie, praised his mother’s dedication in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve never been more proud of my mother,” he said. “I’ve seen my mom close up more than anybody…put in more work and more dedication and more time than I’ve ever seen in my life. And it’s just such a beautiful thing.”
Hudson’s Glamorous Look
Hudson stunned in a black sparkly gown featuring a cutout across her midsection, showing off her toned abs. She posed alongside Ryder, who looked every bit the supportive son as cameras captured their family moment.
A Hollywood Family
Hudson shares Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, frontman of The Black Crowes. She is also mom to son Bingham, 14, with ex Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani, 7, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.
In February, Chris Robinson spoke about Ryder’s future, revealing that his son is set to graduate from NYU in May and may pursue acting. “He’s a very good singer, a really good guitar player, and he loves music,” Robinson said. “The world really is his for whatever he wants to do.”
A Night to Remember
While Hudson didn’t take home the Oscar, the evening was a celebration of her career and her family’s support. Ryder’s heartfelt words underscored the pride and admiration her children feel for her achievements, making the night even more memorable.
