BTS is officially returning to late-night television. The Grammy-nominated K-pop supergroup will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in back-to-back episodes next Wednesday and Thursday, marking their first U.S. late-night appearance as a full group since 2021.
A Long-Awaited Reunion
Composed of RM, Jin, SUGA, j‑hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, BTS announced a pause in June 2022 so members could complete their mandatory South Korean military service. Their upcoming appearance signals the group’s full reunion and return to the global stage.
What Fans Can Expect
The group will sit down for an in-studio interview and perform two songs. The first interview and performance will air Wednesday, followed by a second performance Thursday. Their visit coincides with the release of BTS’ fifth studio album Arirang, dropping Friday, and the premiere of Netflix’s BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang, which launches next week.
Star-Studded Episodes
Next Wednesday’s episode will also feature Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, while Thursday’s lineup includes Chris Pratt and Charlie Day. The pairing of BTS with Hollywood stars ensures high-profile episodes that will likely draw massive viewership.
A Record-Breaking Legacy
The last time BTS appeared on The Tonight Show was in 2021 during their “BTS takeover,” which generated nearly 120 million digital views with performances of “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.” Since then, individual members have appeared separately, but this marks their first group return.
The Global Impact
BTS’ reunion on Fallon is more than just a performance — it’s a cultural moment. With millions of fans worldwide, their comeback is expected to dominate social media and reignite excitement for their new era of music.
