Speaking at the season 8 premiere in New York City, Balfe admitted filming the last episode left her in tears. “That moment was very, very emotional,” she said, describing the bittersweet feeling of closing such a significant chapter of her life.

Balfe revealed she kept Claire’s wedding rings as mementos. “I had a lot of weddings. I had a lot of marriages. I deserved the hardware,” she joked. The rings symbolize Claire’s journey across decades and relationships, from Frank to Jamie and even Lord John.

Balfe wasn’t alone in wanting keepsakes.
