Kelly Clarkson has announced that The Kelly Clarkson Show will conclude after its seventh season. The Emmy-winning daytime talk show, which debuted in 2019, has been a staple of NBC’s lineup and a platform for celebrity interviews, musical performances, and heartfelt human-interest stories.
On Monday, Clarkson shared the news in a statement posted to Instagram, expressing gratitude to her team, guests, and fans. “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York,” she wrote. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for.”
Prioritizing Family
Clarkson explained that her decision to step away was driven by her desire to focus on her children. “This was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she said. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
The singer shares two children, a daughter aged 11 and a son aged 9, with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who passed away in August 2025 following a battle with cancer.
Special Guests and Final Season
NBC confirmed that the show will continue airing through autumn 2026, with a slate of special guest hosts joining the program to celebrate its final season. The farewell episodes are expected to highlight memorable moments from the past seven years, while also featuring new interviews and performances. Clarkson reassured fans that while she is stepping away from daytime television, she is not leaving the entertainment industry. She plans to continue releasing music and will remain a judge on The Voice, where she has been a fan favorite.
A Legacy of Connection
Since its debut, The Kelly Clarkson Show has won multiple Daytime Emmy Awards and earned praise for Clarkson’s approachable hosting style. The program blended celebrity interviews with stories of everyday heroes, often showcasing Clarkson’s own musical talents. Her departure marks the end of an era in daytime television, but her legacy as a host who brought warmth, humor, and authenticity to the screen will endure.
Looking Ahead
“For now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years,” Clarkson concluded in her statement. Fans can expect Clarkson to continue shaping pop culture through her music and television appearances, even as she shifts her focus to family life.
