Singer-songwriter Ray J is pleading for the return of his medical heart monitor after it was stolen during a Valentine’s Day performance in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The Incident
On February 14, Ray J jumped into the crowd to connect with fans while performing. According to TMZ, the 45-year-old was experiencing bleeding from his eyes at the time. Amid the chaos, a fan allegedly snatched the heart monitor directly from his bare chest. Ray J explained that he had been wearing the device for two weeks so doctors could track his heart condition. The monitor contained critical data needed for his medical care.

Ray J’s Plea
The artist stressed the importance of the missing device, urging whoever took it to return it.
“If you have the heart monitor, just let us know how we can get it back, if it’s possible, ’cause I need it for analytics. It’s important,” he said.
He added that without the monitor’s data, his doctors cannot accurately prescribe treatment or assess his progress.
Offering Incentives
Ray J even offered a reward for its safe return.
“DM me in this meetup so I can at least get it back. Whatever y’all need from us, we’ll give it back to you. Or we’ll give you some cash or whatever,” he explained.
The singer emphasized that the situation is “pretty critical” and could affect his health if the monitor is not recovered.
Health Concerns
Ray J clarified that while doctors can fit him with another monitor, the loss of two weeks’ worth of data is significant. Without it, his medical team cannot determine whether he needs to slow down or continue his current routine. The incident highlights the risks performers face when interacting closely with fans, especially while managing health conditions.
