Brendon, who played Xander Harris throughout the show’s seven-season run, was remembered by co-stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan with heartfelt tributes.

Gellar, who portrayed Buffy Summers, shared a throwback photo of herself with Brendon on Instagram. She paired the image with a poignant quote from Xander’s character in the series finale:
“They’ll never know how tough it is to be the one who isn’t chosen… But I know. I see more than anybody realizes, because nobody’s watching me.”
She added her own words: “I saw you Nicky. I know you are at peace, in that big rocking chair in the sky.”
Alyson Hannigan’s Tribute
Hannigan, who played Willow Rosenberg, posted a still from Buffy showing Willow and Xander crying and hugging. Her caption reflected their deep bond:
